Logos Methodist Church, Sibu Site Visit

On 6th November 2020, a group of Quantity Surveying Programme students were involved in Logos Methodist Church, Sibu site visit. Students from Bachelor of Quantity Surveying which were in total of 31 students and 4 Quantity Surveying lecturers were involved in this site visit.

The main objective is to give them some insight of how building is being constructed in relation to the sub-structure and superstructure works. Likewise, this visit will help to supplement the various construction processes that being taught in the classroom for a better understanding in real life situation which will enable them to develop a greater understanding of how the theoretical knowledge of construction technology is put into practice.

Dr Kan, Mr Steven and Mr Ting was in charge of explaining and shared the information of this project to the students regarding the construction process. During the site visit, students were required to take photos of the structural elements of Logos Methodist Church and were required to construct building model as their assignment. The site visit came to an end after a photo-taking session.
