ABOUT AQSA
The ASEAN Quantity Surveyors Association International Congress 2023 is jointly organized by ASEAN Quantity Surveyors Association (AQSA) and School of Built Environment, University of Technology Sarawak. This congress will be held face-to-face in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia.
The congress features mega construction projects in ASEAN countries with a special focus on projects in countries located on Borneo Island which include Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei. Projects presented at this congress will include the New Capital City of Indonesia, Pan Borneo Highway, Sarawak and Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge, Brunei.
This congress will invite well known speakers to discuss the sustainability constraints of these mega projects and collaboration between countries in the era of digitalization. Furthermore, a series of undergraduate students activities will be conducted to provide students the opportunities for networking with those from other institutions and to provide an outreach platform for employers to scout for potential employees.
ASEAN Quantity Surveyors Association also known as AQSA was established in December 2020. Its aim is to extend cooperation among ASEAN countries through Quantity Surveying services mobility, fostering close working relationship, establishing base line standard for practices and education development.
AQSA membership currently comprised of professional bodies of quantity surveyors in the ASEAN countries. AQSA provides many platforms such as training programs, CPD talks, seminars and short courses for its members to share their knowledge and experiences related to the construction industry. Besides, registered members will be given assistance to work or practice in the ASEAN region. They can also use AQSA networking and linkages with all the member countries to explore business, jobs and training opportunities in the region.
